World Cup 2010 SCORECAST LEAGUE The World Cup Scorecast League is a football predictions competition run as a spin-off to the annual domestic soccer orientated Scorecast League contest (forms for the 2010-2011 season should be available in mid-June and can be obtained by emailing buzzsport@fsmail.net). Entrants featured in the main table below have completed forms before the start of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Points from group matches are accumulated on the basis of FIVE for an exactly correct scoreline prediction or THREE if only the correct result (home, away or draw) is indicated. Additional regular bonus points are added during the season (details featured below). Overall end-of-competition cash prizes will be awarded for the following positions: Winner: £100 Runner-up: £60 Third: £35 Fourth: £15

The 2010 World Cup Scorecast League is now complete. And congratulations go to Stephen Roberts for finishing on top of the pile. He was two points clear of Ken McGuire. Third place went to Geoff Ward with Andrew joy and Alan Waters sharing the crumbs of consolation in joint fourth place. Rock bottom of the whole pack was Richard Daubney whose under-achievements virtually matched the miserable flops from the England and France squads! Sadly there is no prize for such abject failure, but the high-flying prize winners will be contacted shortly to arrange for cash reward deliveries!
