Lincolnshire Individual SCORECAST LEAGUE 2008-2009 season Run in association with Boston’s independent bookmakers Lincs Racing of 6 Artillery Row, Boston and Lincsbet of 36 Market Place, Boston The Lincolnshire Individual Scorecast League is a football predictions competition run for the 2008-2009 season as a fund-raising venture for Boston Cricket Club and Boston Swimming Club. Points in the competition are accumulated on the basis of FIVE for an exactly correct scoreline prediction or THREE if only the correct result (home, away or draw) is indicated. Additional regular bonus points are added during the season. Up-to-date information and standings for the 2007-2008 campaign are featured below. There will be prizes for the top four finishers and a mini-bonus prize for entrant(s) finishing on a total of 81 points.

The curtain has come down on another season of Scorecast League action. And with the addition of all the end-of-season bonuses, there have been some major alterations in the prize placings stakes. Mick Virth has risen from eighth spot to claim the top prize, thanks to a 60-point “top-up” from clubs’ top three positions. Carl Upsall, meanwhile, took second place on the strength of 65 bonus points coming his way. The only one of the previous high-flyers to stay in the money was Kevin Davies who finished joint third along with Sarah Goodale. Consolation prizes of £10 go to Ian Handley, Paul Heppenstall, Linda Page and Dave Peacock for ending up on the pe-tournament designated 81 points mark. Finishing positions (subject to final re-scrutiny) are listed below. All prize winners will be contacted shortly. Entry sheets for the 2009-2010 season should be available in late June.
