Points in the competition are accumulated on the basis of FIVE for an exactly correct scoreline prediction or THREE if only the correct result (home, away or draw) is indicated. Additional regular bonus points are added during the season. Up-to-date information and standings for the 2007-2008 campaign are featured below. There will be prizes for the top four finishers and a mini-bonus prize for entrant(s) finishing on 84 points (figure drawn at random pre-tournament from numbers 80-90). FIXTURE ALERT: A misprint in the national media of the full 2007-2008 fixtures programme (printed on June 15), the basis of which was used in compiling details for the Scorecast League, detailed Man City v Newcastle as a May 11 match (original text copy in possession of contest organiser), However, this match was actually scheduled for Saturday September 29 and has now been counted for points purposes on the date it was played and not at the end of the season. The switch has been brought about entirely by unforeseen circumstances but will hopefully not be to the detriment of the season-long battle for honours.
