Race weekend number two of the season for local pigeon fanciers whose clubs are affiliated to the Peterborough and District Federation was from Northallerton. Helped by a north wind the birds scorched home at speeds exceeding a mile a minute.

Local pigeon fanciers had a slight extra wait before the new season got under way on Saturday. The liberation at the race point of Bubwith was delayed until the skies cleared in early afternoon.
