Ladies’ section

 

August saw the Kirton Holme Golf Club ladies championship played. A total of 22 competitors took part. The 2005 ladies champion is Val Richardson with a medal score of 126 over 27 holes. In second place was Jackie Ward 132 and third place was Elaine McCartney 138.The nett champion with a score of 139 was Mavis Ablard.

 

August medal success went to Elaine McCartney (nett 65). In second place was Suzanne Gill (nett 67) and third place went to Heather Scarboro (nett 67 on countback). In first place in category five was Janet Smith (also nett 67 on countback) and first place in category three was Barbara Pell on nett 71.

 

Janet Smith won the August stableford with 37 points. In second place on countback was Mavis Ablard and third place, also 37 points on countback, was Chris Gill.

 

The Daily Mail Foursomes was played on a Sunny afternoon with Jackie Ward and Hazel Smith the eventual winner on gross 88 nett 67.5. In second place Chris Gill and Heather Scarboro gross 92 nett 71 and third place was Gloria Bursnell and Tricia Sharpe gross 93 nett 71.5 points.
